Traffic diversion around ISKCON temple in Hyderabad for Krishna Janmashtami on August 16

The Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced special traffic diversions in and around Abid Road on August 16 to facilitate the celebrations of the Lord Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsava at the ISKCON Temple Abids. The restrictions will be in place from 4 am to 11 pm.

Routes to be avoided:

Commuters are advised to avoid travelling on the stretch covering Yousuf & Company - Jawaharlal Nehru Road - Abids Circle - Old Hyderabad Collector Office - Chirag Ali - Nampally Station Road, as these areas will be affected by diversions and possible congestion.

Diversions:

• Traffic from Gunfoundry and Tilak Road heading towards Nampally Station Road will be diverted at GPO Junction towards MJ Market.
• Traffic from Jambagh Road and SA Bazar Mosque towards GPO Junction will be diverted via Gandhi Bhavan and Chappel Road through MJ Market.
• Vehicles from Nampally going towards Koti Bank Street will be routed through HP Petrol Pump - ACB Lane - Yousuf & Company - Troop Bazar - Koti Bank Street.
• Vehicles from BJP State Office will be diverted at Abids Traffic Junction towards MJ Market Road.

Parking arrangements:

Devotees visiting the ISKCON Temple can park their vehicles at Exhibition Grounds, Nampally.

The traffic police have urged commuters to plan their journeys in advance, use alternate routes, and contact the traffic helpline at 9010203626 for any assistance.
