Tirumala trust flags off free bus services for devotees within town

To enhance the convenience of devotees visiting Tirumala, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) launched a fleet of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) free buses at Tirumala on Thursday.

TTD additional executive officer Ch Venkaiah Choudary formally flagged off the buses for transporting pilgrims from one location to another atop the temple town for free, TOI reported. As per Deccan Chronical, Chowdhury explained that the initiative aims to curb excessive charges by private vehicles and reduce pollution.

He expressed gratitude to APSRTC management for their positive response and support. The RTC buses will operate on the same routes as the Srivari Dharma Rathas, the report added.
