Telangana weather: IMD sounds heavy rainfall alert in six districts on August 8

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert in six districts of Telangana for Friday, The Hindu reported.

According to IMD's latest bulletin, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.

As per the report, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur in all 33 districts of the state.

In Telangana, Hyderabad and its surrounding areas will see a generally cloudy sky for the next 24 hours.

“Light to moderate rains or thundershowers with intense spells at times, accompanied by gusty winds, are very likely to occur in the city towards evening or night. Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during the morning hours.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 33 and 23, respectively,” the bulletin was quoted by The Hindu as saying.
