Taj Palace in Delhi received a bomb threat via email on Friday, triggering a swift security response.

Delhi Police have confirmed the threat and stated massive security checks were carried out before the police declared the threats a hoax.

Authorities are currently investigating the source and authenticity of the email. Further updates are expected as the situation unfolds.

Earlier on Friday, panic spread in the Delhi High Court after an bomb threat email was received. Hours after the bomb threat, authorities at the Bombay High Court also received an e-mail threatening to blow up the court building, situation in south Mumbai.

The Bomb threat triggered a massive security operation and evacuation, and was later declared a hoax. The mail received by the Delhi HC was sent at 8.39 am from an Outlook account and claimed that three IEDs had been planted on the premises, demanding evacuation by 2 pm.
