Stunt artist collapses on Vettuvam set in Tamil Nadu, dies

On Sunday, Mohanraj was performing a stunt, when he, as per the report, slipped and fell down while jumping off a car.

A 52-year-old stunt artist collapsed and died during a movie shooting in Nagapattinam district on Sunday, The Times of India reported.

The deceased was identified as S Mohanraj, of Selliamman Koil Street in Kanchipuram. As per the report, Mohanraj was hired as a stunt artist for the upcoming Tamil movie 'Vettuvam' produced by director Pa Ranjith's production house Neelam Studios.

The shooting was underway at Vilunthamavadi village near Velankanni since July 10. On Sunday, Mohanraj was performing a stunt when he, as per the report, slipped and fell down while jumping off a car.

Soon, he developed chest pain and was rushed to Nagapattinam Government Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Keelaiyur police have registered a case, the report added.
