Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has once again claimed that the state coffers are empty. The CM made this big admission after inaugurating new hostel buildings on the Osmania University premises on Monday.
The Chief Minister admitted that there was no land for distribution and that the State coffers were empty. Even if the agricultural ceiling act was invoked, not a yard of land could be acquired, reported Telangana Today.
This is not the first time Reddy has publicly admitted that the state does not have money for capital expenditure and infrastructure projects. He claimed the state inherited a high public debt of ₹7.5 lakh crore and has limited funds for development after covering existing welfare programs.
