Satish Sanpal, founder of ANAX Developments and an Indian billionaire based in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, made headlines in July this year after gifting his one-year-old daughter a custom pink Rolls-Royce. Married to British-Pakistani entrepreneur Tabinda Sanpal, the Jabalpur-born recently spoke about the two key factors he believes shaped his journey to success.
In a conversation with Curly Tales’ Kamya Jani, Sanpal recalled how he moved to Dubai at just 15 to chase his dreams. With little money and no support system, he faced repeated failures in his early years. “My mom gave me Rs 80,000. I used to trust people and give them credit, and they wouldn’t return that money. I’ve been cheated a lot,” he said.
Despite the setbacks, Sanpal never gave up. The businessman believes two things played a crucial role in his success, hard work and luck. “If luck is on your side and if you’re working hard, so even luck will ask you to work harder and then it will eventually come to you. Stay positive, think positive about everything. When a person faces disrespect, it actually pushes them forward a lot.”
Sanpal shared that an incident from his youth, when he was disrespected, became a turning point. “There are things in life that hurt you deeply. That’s when you tell yourself you have to make money, you have to achieve something,” he said.
