Gurugram experienced scattered rain and light thunderstorms on Wednesday morning. In its weather forecast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that temperatures will range between a high of 31°C and a low of 27°C, and the "feels like" temperature could reach as high as 39°C due to humidity, Gurugram Now reported.

The weather department has also predicted continued intermittent rains in the city. Meanwhile, areas typically prone to waterlogging, such as Sector 14, Sector 29, Rajiv Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, IFFCO Chowk, and parts of Golf Course Road, may experience flooding, the report added.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has also raised concerns about potential waterlogging at CD Chowk due to damaged drainage infrastructure near a construction site in Gurugram. As per the report, authorities have advised motorists to avoid underpasses and narrow lanes during peak rain spells. Major arterial roads like NH-48 and the Sohna Road corridor could also see slowdowns.

According to the report, civic officials are on alert, with maintenance teams stationed in vulnerable zones.
