Red flares lit up the sky and explosions echoed as Indian air defence systems intercepted Pakistani drones during a blackout in Nagrota, Jammu and Kashmir.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced, "Earlier today, at 15:35 hours, Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) contacted the Indian DGMO. Both sides agreed to cease all military actions on land, air, and sea starting from 17:00 hours Indian Standard Time. Instructions have been issued on both sides to implement this agreement. Another conversation between the DGMOs is scheduled for May 12th at 12:00 hours."

Mumbai Police DCP (Operations) has imposed preventive restrictions under the Maharashtra Police Act, prohibiting the use of firecrackers across the city from May 11 to June 9, 2025. The official order states that no individual is allowed to ignite or launch any firecrackers, fireworks, or rockets—including chidis—within the jurisdiction of Brihanmumbai during this period.

The restrictions, effective from May 9 to July 7, 2025, are being implemented under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.

Neena Begum, a local from Rajouri, said, "We have suffered a lot, but we are safe fortunately... When the shelling started, we thought that no one would survive."

Civilian residences in Rajouri suffer damages due to heavy cross-border shelling by Pakistan. Visuals surfaced on the internet.

"We get the news early in the morning; there has been no damage to life. Army and police personnel are here," Patwari of the area, Sabhay Kumar, said after fragments of a projectile were retrieved from Rajasthan's Jaisalmer.

Ministry of Defence tweeted, "Pakistan continued its hostilities on 10 May 2025 by targeting places of worship like the famous Shambhu Temple and residential areas in Jammu. Multiple armed drones have been sent through the night, endangering civilians and religious sites. The Indian Armed Forces remain vigilant and are committed to defending the sovereignty of the nation."

Visuals of a large missile fragment in Pokhran, Rajasthan, following attacks by Pakistan last night, surfaced on social media.

Pakistan, on Saturday, targeted Shambhu Temple in Jammu. However, the attack was intercepted by Indian Armed Forces.

Visuals of hollowed ground in a field in Chhichhra village of Gurdaspur surfaced online. As per Police, an explosion sound was also heard here earlier this morning.

Inspector Jasvinde Pal Singh said, "...It happened around 4.45 am. No loss has occurred. All officers, including those of the Army, have come here. I appeal to the people not to come and gather here. I appeal to them to stay at home. A blast had happened, we heard a sound."

Complete blackout was ordered for Jammu and Jalandhar after explosions were heard in several parts of Jammu and drones were spotted in the Jalandhar sky.

On Saturday morning, continuous explosions were heard in several districts of Jammu, including Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch and Akhnoor. Visuals from the area showed smoke rising from the explosion sites.
