In a rare incident in Telangana’s Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, a man named Suryadev from Gumnoor village married two women at the same event.
Suryadev said he was in love with both Lal Devi and Jhalkari Devi and decided to marry them in a single ceremony. He even printed both their names on one wedding invitation card and organized a grand celebration to mark the occasion. A video of the wedding shows the two brides holding the man's hand during the rituals.

According to NDTV citing sources, Suryadev fell in love with Lal Devi and Jhalkari Dev and the trio decided to live together.
The report said that initially the elders in the village elders were not supportive of the idea but later helped them to get married. However, it is illegal for Hindus to practice polygamy in India.
