A stellar lineup of Indian musical talent is set to grace the iconic Mysuru Palace for its annual Dasara 2025 cultural festival. The event, featuring a mix of classical, folk and contemporary performances, will run for 14 evenings from September 22 to 29.
The festival promises an array of performances designed to appeal to a wide audience, according to a TOI report.
The festivities will commence on September 22 with a fusion concert. Padma Shri awardee Hariharan and his team will perform a blend of Ghazal and classical music for the opening night.
The following evening, September 23, will feature the popular Indian folk fusion band Thaikkudam Bridge Live. Their vibrant sound is seen as a major draw for music lovers.
On September 24, the programme includes a Carnatic fusion instrumental concert by Sai Shiv Lakshmi Keshav. This will be complemented by soulful folk music from Ananya Bhat and her troupe.
The celebrated violin trio led by Mysore Manjunath will perform on September 25. A sitar recital by Mohsin Khan is scheduled for the next day, alongside a performance from the Police Band.
The musical grandeur continues on September 27 with a sitar fusion concert by maestro Niladri Kumar. Playback singer Vijay Prakash will take centre stage with his ensemble on September 28.
The festival culminates on September 29 with a performance by Indu Nagaraj and Lakshmi Nagaraj and their team.
According to TOI, ZP CEO S Ukesh Kumar detailed the preparations for the annual festival. Kumar, who serves as the deputy special officer for the Dasara cultural subcommittee, stated the events were carefully curated.
The festival is poised to be a major cultural highlight, offering a rich tapestry of India’s musical heritage within the historic setting of the Mysuru Palace. “We ensured the programmes are star-studded and appealing to diverse audiences,” he said.
