The Mysuru Dasara celebrations this year became even more special with a spectacular drone show that has now gone viral across social media.

The show featured nearly 3,000 drones lighting up the night sky with dazzling patterns and breathtaking visuals. The highlight of the evening was a giant artwork of a tiger, created in the air by 2,983 drones.

This incredible display set a new Guinness World Record for the “Largest aerial image of a mammal formed by drones,” beating the previous record of 1,985 drones, Hindustan Times reported.

The video of the performance was shared online by drone content creator Srihari Karath, who described it as the “3000 Drones Show by Botlab Dynamics at Mysuru last night, and a Guinness Record.”

The event took place on September 28 at the Torchlight Parade Ground in Bannimantap. To ensure everything was done safely and officially, the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) worked with a team of aeronautical engineers, auditors, legal experts, and a certification team from London.

While the tiger grabbed the spotlight, the drones also formed many other striking images in the sky. These included the solar system, the world map, an Indian soldier, a peacock, a dolphin, an eagle, Lord Krishna dancing on a serpent, ‘Mother Cauvery,’ the map of Karnataka with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, the famous Ambari elephant, and Goddess Chamundeshwari.

The September 28 display was only the first trial, followed by another on September 29. The main shows are scheduled for October 1 and 2, when thousands of people are expected to gather and witness this part of the Dasara festivities.
