Mumbai weather: Rain in several localities amid high waves warning along coasts

As monsoon reaches Maharashtra, few regions of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai received heavy rainfalls in the early hours of Wednesday and light rains as the day proceeded.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted predominantly overcast weather with light rain or drizzle, with temperatures ranging from a minimum of 27°C to a maximum of 33 °C.

For Thursday, the IMD has predicted thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds (30-40kmph) at isolated places.

As per a report by Free Press Journal, coastal warnings have been issued due to high waves of 3-4 meters. Light to moderate rain is anticipated in Pune, Satara, Sangli, and Kolhapur. Light thunderstorms could occur in isolated locations in Marathwada. In Vidarbha, Nagpur, Amravati, Wardha, and Chandrapur, rain and drizzle may be present.
