A heated parking dispute at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport escalated into a full-blown fistfight between private taxi drivers and Crystal security personnel on Monday, disrupting operations and prompting swift intervention by CISF officers and local police, News18 reported.

According to multiple eyewitness accounts and video footage circulating widely on social media, the altercation began near a designated parking area over allocation of space. What started as a verbal spat rapidly degenerated into a violent brawl, with both sides exchanging punches and grappling in front of stunned passengers and staff. The clash, captured in several clips now viral on X, resembled a street-side wrestling match, with men grabbing each other by the neck and landing blows.

One of the most circulated videos shows onlookers gathering at the scene while the fight rages on, yet few dare intervene. The altercation disrupted normal operations at the airport for a short period, sparking chaos and confusion within the complex.

Personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), who were stationed nearby, rushed in to break up the scuffle and restore order.

The Sahar Police later registered a case against both parties involved. As per reports by NDTV, one taxi driver and one Crystal security guard have been arrested and taken into custody for questioning. Police confirmed that they are reviewing CCTV footage and viral video clips and are also recording statements from witnesses to piece together the sequence of events.

Airport officials have not yet issued a formal statement, though sources indicate that a review of internal parking and security protocols is likely in light of the incident. Tighter enforcement measures may be introduced to prevent similar flare-ups.
