A shocking incident at PM Shri School in Suthalia, Rajgarh district, has sparked outrage after students allegedly played a pornographic video on a classroom LED screen during school hours.
The disturbing footage, which has gone viral on social media, shows approximately 13 students watching and recording the explicit content while no teacher was present in the classroom, TOI reported.
District Education Officer Karan Singh Bhilala has ordered an immediate inquiry into the matter, with the Biaora block education officer directed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Saket Sharma, Chairman of the Child Welfare Committee, called the incident deeply “unfortunate”. The committee has reportedly issued notices to both the school principal and district education officials demanding an explanation.
School principal Hemant Yadav, who assumed charge in May, made startling claims that the viral video was actually recorded during the previous academic session, as per TOI.
He alleged that an unidentified youth had attempted to blackmail him for Rs 50,000 before releasing the footage online.
This incident follows another disturbing case reported by NDTV, where a crucial online education meeting in Uttar Pradesh's Maharajganj district was abruptly derailed last week when an unidentified participant played pornographic content during the session.
The August 7 'e-Chaupal' meeting, chaired by District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma to discuss school infrastructure issues, had to be canceled after a participant using the alias 'Jason Jr' shared explicit material via screen sharing.
