The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) Konkan Board announced a lottery for the sale of 5,354 flats and 77 plots built under various housing schemes in Oros, Kulgaon-Badlapur, Thane city, and Vasai.
The lottery draw was held today at 11 am at Dr Kashinath Ghanekar Auditorium in Thane, in the presence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, according to a report by LokShahi.
A total of 1,84,994 applications were received for these homes, of which 1,58,424 included earnest money deposits. To ensure transparency, LED screens were be set up both inside and outside the auditorium for live viewing of the draw.
The lottery process began in July 2025, starting with online registration, verification, and application confirmation.
The initial registration period, from July 14 to August 13, 2025, was later extended to September 12, 2025 to accommodate additional applicants as the lottery received an overwhelming response.
