A man has died in Gurugram following a violent domestic dispute in which his live-in partner allegedly stabbed him amid escalating tensions tied to his visits to his family, NDTV reported.

The incident involved 42-year-old Harish, a resident of Baliyavas, Gurugram and 27-year-old Yashmeet Kaur from Ashok Vihar, Delhi. The couple, who had been living together for more than a year in DLF Phase-3, were often embroiled in quarrels, particularly when Harish, who is married with children, met his wife and family.

According to details relayed to police and shared by Harish’s nephew Bharat, on the day of the fatal altercation, Harish returned home from his job in Faridabad, collected Rs 7 lakh from Bharat and left in a car said to be driven by another accused, Vijay. Police have confirmed this sequence, adding that Harish later contacted Bharat at around 10 pm, instructing him to handle and pay for a food order.

Tragedy unfolded hours later. At approximately 7 am the following morning, Bharat received a call from Kaur, who informed him of his uncle’s death. Bharat stated that Harish had suffered a stab wound to the chest.

NDTV reported that Kaur has been taken into custody and police have seized the knife used in the attack. Investigators are interrogating Vijay and working to determine the motive behind Harish’s withdrawal of Rs 7 lakh on the night of the incident.
