A 25-year-old widow from Delhi has accused a Haryana Police head constable and his associate of drugging and gang-raping her in a Gurugram hotel last year, after luring her with the promise of a government job. The shocking incident, which allegedly involved filming the assault, came to light this week with the registration of an FIR at the DLF Ph-2 police station.
The victim, a resident of Delhi, detailed in her complaint how she first encountered the accused head constable, Satish Kumar, on a Delhi Transport Corporation bus around six months before the assault, according to a TOI report.
Kumar introduced himself as a Haryana Police officer and claimed his wife was a judge in Palwal district, boasting of influential political connections. Over time, he built her trust through regular conversations and offered to secure her a position as a cook in the police department under the widow quota.
According to the FIR, Kumar contacted her on July 29, 2025, instructing her to bring her educational documents to Gurugram. He picked her up in his car and drove her to a hotel in DLF Phase-2, falsely claiming ownership of the property. Upon entering the room, she discovered another man, identified as Lambu Khan.
The complaint alleges that the duo offered her tea laced with a sedative, causing her to become drowsy. When she attempted to leave, the two men reportedly raped her and recorded the act. The victim further stated that Kumar informed her his associate was implicated in multiple serious crimes, including murder, rape, cyber fraud and robbery.
Distraught, the woman initially approached the Delhi Cantonment police station, where a zero FIR was lodged on February 1 under sections 70(1) for gang rape, 123 for causing hurt by administering poison and 3(5) for acts committed by several persons, as per the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Given that the crime occurred in Gurugram, the case was transferred to the DLF Phase-2 station, where the formal FIR was registered on Wednesday. Police officials reportedly said that an investigation is underway, with further steps to be determined based on evidence gathered.
