Delhi weather: Brace for hotter days as mercury set to touch 43 degree C in next 5 days

According to the weather department, there is a possibility of a continuous increase in the maximum temperature, reaching 43°C by the beginning of next week

The mercury is likely to rise over the next few days. After a brief respite from the heat this week, the maximum temperature over the next five days is predicted to cross 40 degrees Celsius, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said. However, the weather department has denied the possibility of heatwave conditions, reported abp.

The report said according to the IMD, the minimum temperature in the last few days was below normal and the maximum temperature was 5°C to 7°C below normal.

Temperature set to soar to 43°C

According to the weather department, there is a possibility of a continuous increase in the maximum temperature, reaching 43°C by the beginning of next week.

Partly cloudy skies are expected on Friday. As per the report, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 39.5°C and minimum temperature around 26°C. Thunderstorms could be seen at a few places. The rest of the week will be mostly clear. Strong surface winds will persist throughout the week, abp reported.
