Bengaluru coffee shop fight

A staffer at a popular coffee outlet in Bengaluru’s Seshadripuram locality was brutally assaulted by a group of men after he refused to provide an extra cup, citing company policy. The shocking incident, which occurred around 6.50 pm on Monday at Namma Filter Coffee, has been caught on CCTV and is now circulating widely on social media, triggering calls for swift police action.

As per India Today, the group had purchased coffee and then asked for an additional cup, presumably to share the beverage. The employee informed them that the outlet’s policy did not allow handing out free cups and suggested they buy another coffee instead. This apparently infuriated the group, who began abusing the staffer before launching a violent assault.

CCTV footage shows the employee being slapped on the back of his head, punched in the face and kicked in the stomach. Despite attempting to defend himself, he was overpowered by the group. The video also captures other patrons and staff stepping in to break up the altercation.

Eyewitnesses was cited by India Today as saying that the group used foul language before initiating the physical attack. The employee was left visibly shaken and injured. The video has since gone viral on social media platforms, with many users tagging Bengaluru Police and demanding immediate arrests.

The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Seshadripuram Police Station, where a formal complaint has been registered. Police officials are currently reviewing the CCTV footage to identify the assailants.

Police confirmed an investigation is underway but have not yet made any arrests.
