According to the authorities, over 50,000 devotees and several vehicles will take part in the event. To maintain smooth traffic movement and ensure public safety, several restrictions, diversions, and parking bans will be enforced, especially in Mehrauli and South Delhi areas that fall along the route.
Key restrictions and no-parking zones
Traffic movement on several key roads will be heavily restricted throughout the day. The Y-Point, Chhatarpur to Dera More (SSN Marg) stretch will remain closed between 11 am and 8 pm, while CDR Chowk to Y-Point, Chhatarpur will be shut from 8 am to 4 pm. Similarly, Zeer Khod to Dera More will face restrictions from 1 pm to 10 pm on November 7, and again from 7 am to 1 pm on November 8.
Parking will be strictly prohibited on CDR Chowk to Dera Mandi and Zeer Khod between 8 am and 10 pm. The police have warned that vehicles parked in violation of the order will be towed away and fined.
Alternative routes and public advisory
Motorists have been urged to plan their travel in advance and avoid the affected areas. For those heading toward Faridabad, traffic police suggest taking MG Road via CDR Chowk, while Gurugram-bound vehicles should use Mandi Road through the same route. Vehicles from Dera Gaon can take the Bandh Road-Mandi Road-MG Road route instead.
Commuters are advised to avoid SSN Marg, Chhatarpur Mandir Road, and 100 Foota Road, and to use public transport wherever possible. Delhi Police have also assured that emergency vehicles, including ambulances, fire brigades, and essential services, will be given priority passage throughout the day.
