A mother of two was allegedly stabbed to death in a Bengaluru hotel room, an NDTV report said on Monday. The 33-year-old woman was murdered by her alleged lover, a software engineer, on Friday. Although the murder occurred on Friday, it came to light only on Monday, the report added. The accused has been identified as Yashas, a 25-year-old techie who allegedly stabbed the victim 17 times.

The woman, identified as Harini, and the accused reportedly lived in the same locality, the NDTV report stated. Lokesh B. Jagalasar, DCP (South), told NDTV that Harini wanted to end the relationship between the two. Enraged over the breakup, Yashas allegedly stabbed her with a knife at an OYO hotel located in Poorna Pragna Layout.

The NDTV report further added that the relationship between Harini and Yashas was causing issues in the woman’s life. The mother of two decided to distance herself from Yashas after her family came to know about the relationship. Angry and ‘jealous,’ Yashas decided to murder her on the spot. He has been arrested and cops are probing the killing.
