Raise Financial Services has launched Artham, a 7 billion parameter Small Language Model (SLM) trained exclusively on Indian financial and capital markets.

Built and hosted in India, Artham is designed to understand the structure, vocabulary and regulatory frameworks of domestic financial markets, the company said in a release.

In August, Moneycontrol was the first to report that Raise, the parent company of stockbroking platform Dhan, is set to unveil Fuzz, an agentic artificial intelligence (AI) model dedicated to finance and markets.

The tool is engineered to synthesise deep research, regulatory filings and official financial data. It uses a curated data blend from the Indian financial ecosystem, where roughly 70 percent is public data and 30 percent proprietary. Raise said the proprietary share will increase over time.

The model strengthens products like Fuzz and ScanX with contextual and source-backed insights while maintaining compliance responsibilities for regulated platforms like Dhan, Raise Financial Services founder and CEO Pravin Jadhav said.

Raise AI has been working on Artham for nine months. It is engineered to build causal links between company events, macro developments, and market movements. It also supports native tool calling for secure access to internal services such as real-time market data and analytics.

Alok Pandey, co-founder and CTO, said the team wanted a small and deeply tuned model that could be evaluated rigorously and operated within strict data sovereignty controls.

“Working with a lean internal team at Raise AI has helped us move from experimentation to production-grade financial AI in a very short time, with Artham now quietly powering experiences across fuzz, ScanX and Dhan,” Pandey said in the release.

Raise said the model offers information and educational insights, not investment advice. All responses on Fuzz are accompanied by source links, filings or announcements for verification.

Artham forms a key part of Raise AI’s roadmap to build India's first tools across research, education and analytics for market participants and finance professionals. The company said user interactions will increasingly be routed through the model as it expands coverage across the listed universe.
