12.5 % interim relief announced for govt staff in Karnataka

12.5 % interim relief announced for govt staff in Karnataka

Bangalore,Nov1 (PTI) Karnataka Government today announced that an interim relief of 12.5 per cent of basic pay would be given with effect from today to state government employees and employees of local bodies, grant-in-aid educational institutions and non-teaching staff of universities. Similar interim relief would also be given to pensioners and family pensioners,Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said. He noted that in pursuance to the demand of state government employees in this regard, an official committee had been constituted, and the report was awaited. The Chief Minister’s announcement came pending the panel’s report. PTI RS BN
