Dolby launches its Dolby Atmos audio platform in India

Dolby Laboratories, Inc. recently launched its new audio platform Dolby Atmos in India. Dolby states that SPI Cinemas is the first exhibitor in the country to install Dolby Atmos at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai. Dolby claims that Dolby Atmos delivers "a more natural and realistic sound-field, which transports people into the story with a life-like, sensory experience."SPI Cinemas stated that AVM Productions’ Sivaji, starring Rajinikanth, will be the first Indian title to be released with Dolby Atmos.
