Sales also climbed 11 percent to Rs 2301 crore due to its Barmer, Vijayngar and Ratnagiri plant operated at an average plant load factor (PLF) of 86 percent.

Despite the company posting good numbers in Q4, its stock slipped over 4 percent to Rs 64.50. Read This: Govt to pool coal supplies, pass on higher cost of imports

Margins improved 640 basis points to 36 percent on the back of fuel cost dipped 11 percent to Rs 858.43 crore as imported coal got cheaper during the period. Interest cost declined 3 percent, protecting margins to an extent.
