Indian investors in the United States, particularly those who invest in U.S. technology firms, might have watched Huawei's recently-failed attempt to acquire U.S. intellectual property and dismissed it.  While they might believe that Chinese investment in the United States raises a host of issues that do not apply to Indian firms, this latest Huawei episode teaches some useful lessons for every foreign company doing business in the United States.
