In an exclusive conversation with CNN-IBN's Sagarika Ghose, Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy on Friday supported anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare's protest against graft. "We have to listen to Annaji," said Murthy.
Pointing to the demands set by Team Anna, the Infosys founder said the request are valid and we should find a solution to implement them.
He also insisted that Parliament is supreme. "Strengths and foundation of democracy have to be maintained," said Murthy.
As Anna Hazare's fast enters the eleventh day, Murthy also requested Anna to end his fast. "I would respectfully request him to break the fast once the government has given assurance, " asserted Murthy.
Speaking about Anna's efforts he said, "Anna has delivered tremendous service to the nation by his movement and we need him to be strong to fight an even bigger battle."
He also said democracy is all about people's empowerment.
He also requested Anna to make sure that details of implementation be looked at very carefully by non political people. "If there is a reason of chance for success then Parliament should go ahead," said Murthy.
