Suzlon Energy gains on 71.40MW order win in Gujarat

The company will install 29 units of S97-120m wind turbine generators (WTGs) with all steel hybrid tower and 5 units of S97-90m WTGs with tubular tower having rated capacity of 2.1MW each.

Moneycontrol BureauShares of Suzlon Energy gained 1.5 percent intraday Friday. The Suzlon group won a maiden order of 71.40 MW wind power project from Gujarat Industries Power Company.The company will install 29 units of S97-120m wind turbine generators (WTGs) with all steel hybrid tower and 5 units of S97-90m WTGs with tubular tower having rated capacity of 2.1MW each.The project is located at Kutch, Gujarat and will be completed in three phases with execution completed by April 2017."The company will execute the entire project on a turnkey basis and will also provide operation and maintenance services for a period of 20 years through an integrated service package," as per BSE release.Ishwar Mangal, Chief Sales Officer, Suzlon Energy said, "Gujarat has been at the forefront of generating power through renewable energy sources and Suzlon has played a pivotal role in contributing to its renewable energy portfolio."Posted by Rakesh Patil
