Fast moving consumer goods major Hindustan Unilever (HUL) reported strong operating numbers for the June quarter, with net sales rising 13.7% year-on-year to Rs 6,250.15 crore. Profit before interest and taxes (PBIT) jumped 30.2% YoY to Rs 908.82 crore.
It touched an intraday high of Rs 454.55 and an intraday low of Rs 450. At 09:17 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 454.45, up Rs 11.60, or 2.62%.
It was trading with volumes of 82,666 shares. In the previous trading session, the share closed down 0.67% or Rs 3 at Rs 442.85.
The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 10.68 per share. (Jun, 2012). The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 42.55. The latest book value of the company is Rs 16.25 per share.
