As the country grapples with issues like corruption and blackmoney, Tata Steel, a flagship company of Tata Group, has launched an online campaign via a web portal asking citizens to be part of the debate on values that shape India.
The online campaign, called Valueabled.com, targets Indians who wish to make a difference, the company said in a statement, adding that this initiative aims to actively engage the stakeholders to showcase the psyche of the nation as regards its values and beliefs.
"It seeks to provide a forum for Indians, especially the youth, to come forth, discuss and debate on the values and beliefs that shape up our lives today," Tata Steel said in a statement.
Tata Tea, another group company of Tatas, had launched similar campaigns called "Jaago Re", few years back. Through different TV commercials, it was targeted at rising levels of corruption in the society and has been asking people of the country to come out and exercise their franchise during the
election.
Aiming at making Valuabled.com as touch points for the stakeholders to make their opinions heard on burning issues, the company said the website will promote active involvement through polls, discussion forums and pages on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.
"Through this platform, people can voice their opinion, hear others speak their mind, cast their votes in polls online on issues that garner their attention, watch videos on related issues etc," Tata Steel said.
The website will be operational from June 15, it added.
