NTPC commissions unit-3 of 660 MW at Mouda STPS

Public sector power generator NTPC today announced the commissioning of 660 MW unit-3 at Mouda Super thermal power station.

"The unit-3 of 660 MW of Mouda super thermal power station of NTPC Ltd has been commissioned on March 28," the company said in a BSE filing.

With this, the total installed capacity of Mouda Super Thermal Power Station has become 1,660 MW, it said.

The total installed capacity of NTPC on a standalone basis has become 40,012 MW and that of NTPC group has become 46,653 MW, it added.

According to the company's website, NTPC has set a target to have an installed power generating capacity of 1,28,000 MW by the year 2032.

The capacity will have a diversified fuel mix comprising 56 per cent coal, 16 per cent gas, 11 per cent nuclear and 17 per cent renewable energy sources including hydro.

By 2032, non-fossil fuel based generation capacity shall make up nearly 28 per cent of NTPC's portfolio.
