Cairn India COO Rick Bott resigns: Sources

It is a gain on one hand and a definite loss on the other. Cairn India has lost another key member. Cairn India COO Rick Bott has resigned, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources. It is learnt that Bott was earlier asked to resign to comply with clause 49.

It is a gain on one hand and a definite loss on the other. Cairn India has lost another key member. Cairn India COO Rick Bott has resigned, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources. It is learnt that Bott was earlier asked to resign to comply with clause 49.


In a major management rejig exercise, Cairn Energy had announced that Bill Gammell will step down as CEO of the company at the end of June to become non-executive chairman.


Furthermore, Rick Bott, ED and COO, had also ceased to be a director of the company, although he continued to be associated with the Cairn India Group in his capacity as ED and Deputy CEO of Cairn Energy India Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
