Democrats allege acting EEOC head is failing to protect trans and nonbinary workers

Democrats are demanding that Andrea Lucas, the acting chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), enforce civil rights protections for transgender and nonbinary people, The Guardian said in a report. A letter, a copy of which was viewed by the news outlet, alleges the agency has “abdicated this responsibility under the law when it comes to transgender and nonbinary workers”.
