Trump warns of pharma sector tariff at levels ‘never seen before’

US President Donald Trump hasn't opened his cards yet. “The pharma is going to be starting to come in at, I think, a level that you haven’t really seen before,” President Trump said speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One.

“We are looking at pharma as a separate category -- we will be announcing that sometime in the near-future, not in the distant future”, Trump said.

Donald Trump's tariff targeted almost over 180 countries in the world. The tariffs, will come into effect on April 5, include steep levies on imports from India (26%), the European Union (20%), Vietnam (46%), Japan (24%), and China (34%).

Donald Trump's 'reciprocal tariffs,' the new import taxes range from 10% to 49%. "Taxpayers have been taken advantage of for over 50 years, but that ends now," the U.S. President stated.
