YouTube has introduced a new feature called YouTube Recap, giving users a personalised look back at their year of watching. It starts rolling out to viewers in North America today and will reach the rest of the world within the week. Users can find their Recap on the homepage and under the “You” tab across both mobile and desktop.

YouTube says no two users watch the same mix of content, whether it is keyboard customisation videos, KATSEYE clips or Labubu blind box reveals. Recap is designed to reflect this unique blend of interests and habits in a simple, visual way.

When a viewer opens Recap, they will see up to 12 cards that highlight the channels, topics and moments that shaped their year. The feature also tracks how watching patterns evolved and assigns users a personality type based on what they enjoyed. Common types include the Sunshiner, Wonder Seeker and Connector, while others like the Philosopher and Dreamer are more rare.
