Snapchat has rolled out a new video creation tool, named ‘Quick Cut,’ allowing its users to turn their videos and photos into ready-to-share, music-synced videos in seconds. The tool allows you to turn your favourite videos stored in the Memories section into perfectly tuned with beats synchronisation, trimming down some of the most tedious tasks involved in normal video editing.
Snapchat ‘Quick Cut’: How exactly does it work
Through a new Newsroom post, Snapchat has revealed that ‘Quick Cut’ allows users to select multiple photos or clips and instantly preview a rendered video. It also automatically adds music to the video through Snapchat’s ‘Sounds’ library and generates a beat-synced preview of the video. Users will also have the option to change the track if they want.
Additionally, ‘Quick Cut’ also allows users to remix videos created by others by inserting their own media into shared clips. You can begin editing through ‘Quick Cut’ from the Memories section, which houses your saved Snaps and Stories, or by choosing items directly from your camera roll. Moreover, users can choose to add more detailed edits to the video using the Timeline Editor before posting it on the platform.
Snapchat has confirmed that ‘Quick Cut’ is a Lens-powered video creation tool, which is rolling out to iOS users globally starting this week. The company has also promised that it plans to expand this feature to more platforms, including Android devices, in the near future. With short videos becoming more popular in the current landscape, ‘Quick Cut’ will enable Snapchat users to make video creation faster, fun, and beginner-friendly, without requiring any advanced editing skills.
