Big changes are coming to the next OnePlus smartphone. The company has officially confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 13T will ditch the iconic Alert Slider and introduce a new customisable button in its place.
Louis Jie, head of OnePlus China, shared the news, revealing that the OnePlus 13T will launch later this April in China. This new button won’t just control sound profiles like silent, vibrate, or ring—it will also support other shortcut functions, giving users more flexibility. “It’s very practical,” Jie said, though he didn’t dive into all the features just yet.
Design-wise, OnePlus seems to be listening closely to its users. Jie mentioned that the company surveyed fans of smaller-screen phones and found that they prefer a compact size and a flat display. In line with that, the OnePlus 13T will sport a 6.3-inch 1.5K flat OLED screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and ultra-thin bezels on all sides. Sounds sleek, right?
Under the hood, the phone is expected to house the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite SoC. It may also come with a 6200mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
Camera lovers might notice a shift here too. The OnePlus 13T is likely to feature a 50MP main camera and a 50MP 2X telephoto lens, but there’s no ultra-wide camera this time around.
With an official launch around the corner, we can expect OnePlus to reveal more in the coming days.
