OnePlus 13s

OnePlus has officially launched the OnePlus 13s in India. The smartphone company has expanded its flagship smartphone line-up with a new compact device that focuses on powerful performance and AI-driven features. The phone is designed for users who want a flagship experience without the bulk, combining portability with top-end hardware and a new set of AI tools to improve everyday tasks. It also introduces a new customizable hardware button called the Plus Key, replacing the classic alert slider and adding new layers of functionality.

Price and availability

The OnePlus 13s is priced at Rs 54,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB + 512GB version comes in at Rs 59,999. However, customers using SBI Credit Cards can avail an instant Rs 5,000 discount, bringing the effective starting price down to Rs 49,999. The phone will go on open sale starting June 12, 2025, and will be available online via OnePlus.in, Amazon.in, and the OnePlus Store app, as well as offline at OnePlus Experience Stores, Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, and other retail partners.

The device is available in three colour variants. Green Silk is exclusive to India and symbolises freshness and growth, while Black Velvet offers a more classic look. Pink Satin is a new addition and marks OnePlus’s first-ever pink finish, inspired by cherry blossoms. The Pink Satin and Green Silk models also feature Velvet Glass Technology, which gives the back panel a soft, matte, skin-like texture.

Key specifications and features

Under the hood, the OnePlus 13s runs on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and fast UFS 4.0 storage. The chipset is designed to offer better CPU and GPU performance while being more power-efficient. OnePlus has also redesigned the internal structure with an S-structure layout, which allows the device to remain compact without sacrificing thermal management or battery life. For heat control, the phone features a 4400mm vapor chamber and an industry-first cooling layer on the back cover, ensuring stable performance during gaming or multitasking.

Battery life is another highlight, with the OnePlus 13s packing a 5,850mAh single-cell graphite battery. It supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging and is rated for long-lasting use, including up to 12 hours of Google Maps, 10 hours of Zoom calls, and 24 hours of WhatsApp calling. Even when the battery drops to 5%, the phone activates an Extreme Endurance Mode that gives users up to one hour of YouTube playback.

For connectivity, the OnePlus 13s supports India’s 5.5G networks and features an 11-antenna 360-degree signal system for better reception. It also comes with the G1 Wi-Fi chipset, which helps maintain stable connections even in low-signal environments like elevators or metro trains. The Smart Link system further enhances connectivity by managing network performance in real time.

The Plus Key is one of the standout hardware additions. Users can customise it to quickly access tools like the camera, flashlight, voice recorder, or switch between sound profiles. It’s also integrated with AI features. The new Plus Mind tool lets users save and retrieve text, links, or images with a gesture or long press. It can also suggest calendar entries based on saved content. These saved items can be accessed via AI Search. Other AI tools include Call Assistant for real-time translation and summaries, and Voice Scribe for transcriptions within apps like WhatsApp and Zoom. The device also supports Gemini Live, which allows users to share their screen or camera feed during conversations, and buyers will get a free three-month trial of Google AI Pro.

On the camera front, the OnePlus 13s has a triple setup on the rear, including a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera. The phone carries over OnePlus's Snapshot algorithm, along with features like Clear Burst for dynamic shots. AI Reframe suggests better photo compositions, while AI Best Face 2.0, arriving in a future update, improves group photos by correcting closed eyes or off-moments. The rear camera also supports 4K video recording in Dolby Vision.

As part of the launch offers, those who pre-book the device will receive a free pair of OnePlus Nord Buds 3. Buyers will also be covered by a 180-day free phone replacement plan, a lifetime green line display warranty, and a three-year battery protection plan if purchased before the respective cut-off dates. Exchange bonuses of up to Rs 5,000 are available for eligible devices, and Jio postpaid users can save up to Rs 2,250 on certain plans. OnePlus is also offering an Easy Upgrades Program where buyers can own the phone by paying only 65% of the cost upfront through a 24-month no-cost EMI, with a guaranteed 35% buyback at the end of the term.

The OnePlus 13s packs several upgrades in a compact body and focuses on blending powerful specs with smart, AI-enhanced features aimed at improving both productivity and daily usage.
