Lava Play Max launched in India: 5 things to know
Lava has announced the Play Max smartphone in India, expanding its Play series with a device built for students, streamers and mobile gamers. The phone introduces Vapor Chamber Cooling (VC Cooling) technology to this segment, offering better heat management during long gaming sessions on titles like BGMI, Free Fire and COD Mobile. Lava says the Play Max reflects its focus on delivering reliable, performance-oriented hardware for everyday use while keeping the software clean and efficient.

The Lava Play Max is powered by the 2.5GHz MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset built on a 4nm process. The company says the chipset, paired with VC Cooling, ensures consistent performance even under heavy multitasking. The device features a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, aimed at users who switch between study material, entertainment and gaming. RAM options include 6GB+6GB* and 8GB+8GB* LPDDR4X, paired with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage expandable up to 1TB.

Pricing and availability
The Play Max will be available from December 2025 across Lava retail outlets. The 6GB+6GB* variant is priced at Rs 12,999, while the 8GB+8GB* model costs Rs 14,999. Financing options will be available through major banks.
