HP has introduced its new line-up of laptops catered for different users at its annual Amplify Conference.The lineup includes the EliteBook 8 Series for enterprise users, the OmniBook X, 7, and 5 Series for creators and students, and the OMEN 16 Slim and OMEN Transcend 14 for gaming enthusiasts.
HP EliteBook 8 series
The EliteBook 8 Series is designed for business users, it features AI-driven enhancements and security. It includes Neural Processing Units (NPU) with up to 50 TOPS, boosting power efficiency and AI image processing speed. HP says these laptops are more efficient and offer faster AI performance compared to previous models. They also have repairable and upgradeable components for long-term use.
HP OmniBook series
HP’s consumer lineup includes:
–OmniBook X Series is a 14-inch convertible laptop for creative workers and a 17.3-inch clamshell for power users.
–OmniBook 7 Series is primarily designed for students and professionals needing all-day productivity.
–OmniBook 5 Series is a more budget-friendly option for families and students, it is suitable for streaming, light gaming, and daily tasks.
These models come with Intel Ultra or AMD Ryzen processors and multiple configurations.
OMEN Gaming laptops
HP added two new gaming models:
–OMEN 16 Slim Gaming Laptop is an ultra-thin design powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU.
–OMEN Transcend 14 Gaming Laptop offers 25% more power than its predecessor with high-end CPU and GPU options.
Price and availability
HP hasn’t revealed exact pricing, but these laptops will launch in select markets in the coming months. More details on regional availability and configurations will be announced later.
