Android 16 is just a few weeks away, with the final version of this new operating system expected to be released in June. It hit platform stability with the release of Android 16 Beta 3 back in March, followed by another beta update, which came with some polishing touches and bug fixes. However, a new leak has now tipped that Android 16 will introduce a major visual overhaul, with elements of a major redesign visible in the fourth beta of Android 16.

As per leaked screenshots from Android Authority via Mishaal Rahmaan, who has managed to activate many hidden design changes found in the fourth Android 16 beta version, Google is set to move the ‘At a Glance’ widget from the top-left to a position below the clock on the lockscreen. Further, a compact notification view will also be available, replacing full-width alerts with new icons through another tap.

Other standout features include customizable app icon shapes, with rectangular, round, or three other customization options, giving the home screen a personalised vibe. Moreover, the notification panel may adopt a blurred/transparent approach instead of a basic black background when the panel is pulled down completely.
