Atovio Pebble review

It costs Rs 2,999 and I used the Atovio Pebble as part of my daily routine, wearing it during commutes, at the office, and occasionally indoors, to understand what this shift from space-based to person-based purification actually means in real life.

When the term air purifier comes to mind, we often image a big block with a filter and a fan. And, that's alright considering air purifiers traditionally are designed that way. However, Atovio came with Pebble -- a wearable air purifier -- that ditches large boxes placed in bedrooms or living rooms, quietly working within defined walls. The Atovio Pebble takes a different approach. Instead of cleaning a room, it claims to clean the air around you, wherever you go. Worn like a pendant around the neck, the Pebble positions itself as a personal air purifier designed for polluted urban environments, especially Indian cities.

Design and everyday comfort
The Pebble is compact, light, and small enough to sit unobtrusively on the chest. It fits easily in the palm and has a matte finish that avoids smudges. The front houses a circular LED ring that communicates power status, modes, and battery level, while charging happens over USB-C.
The device must be worn using the provided lanyard, which is not optional since it completes the circuit required for operation. While functional, the lanyard is not the most comfortable, especially with round-neck T-shirts, and feels better suited to collared clothing. Once worn for a while, however, the Pebble itself becomes easy to forget due to its light weight.
