IT services provider Tech Mahindra on Thursday said it has opened a new development centre in Germany to service clients in the country and central Europe.

Europe contributes about 54% of the company's revenue, with Germany ranking second within the continent after the United Kingdom, Tech Mahindra -- a unit of tractor and utility vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra -- said in a statement.

Tech Mahindra, in which BT Group owns a roughly 25% stake, provides IT services to the telecoms sector and counts among its clients AT&T, Alcatel-Lucent, Motorola and Vodafone.
