In Andhra Pradesh, Turmeric has been sown in an area of 16781 hectares as compared to 15413 hectares sown last year. Normal in season area is around 19059 hectares. Turmeric area in Guntur is reported up by 544 hectares to 5331 as compared to last year’s 4787 hectares. In Cudapah, turmeric has been sown in an area of 3939 hectares as compared to last year’s 3354 hectares.By: Skymetweather.com
