As per latest report released by Gujarat government, Jeera has been sown in an area of 278700 hectares as compared to 292400 hectares sown at corresponding period of last year. Normal in season area of Jeera in Gujarat is 339000 hectares. Saurashtra region is the main jeera producing belt in Gujarat.By: Skymetweather.com
