Abhi-Ash attend Oscar awards ceremony

Bollywood's star couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan who are holidaying in the US attended the 83rd Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles.

Both the actors were in LA after Abhishek's 'Players' shoot. They went for the 'All Star' Basketball game which was attended by various Hollywood personalities and the word got around that the former Miss World was in town.

The Academy was gracious enough to send her an invite to attend the Oscars yesterday and gave the couple very good floor seats.

"They were not prepared for such an event and therefore their designer friends helped them put together something. She wore a Armani Prive gown to the Oscars," sources close to the actress said.

She was rooting for Colin Firth who is a dear friend and also a co-star on Last Legion...and sure enough he won an Oscar for Best Actor. So it was a double whammy...they attended the Oscar for the first time and her friend won an Oscar as well, sources added.
