The standoff between broadcasters and advertising agencies over the last few days has ended following a decision reached late last night. Representatives of both the IBF and AAAI arrived at a mutual solution on the net billing issue.

As a result, advertisers' ads will be back on air starting Friday, May 3, 2013. Broadcasters, who were slapped with tax notices on account of non-deduction of TDS on agency commission, had stopped airing advertisments starting May 1 as advertising agencies did not agree to their proposal to move to net billing.
