WhatsApp is reportedly working on a few new features to enhance productivity and user interface. As reported by WABetaInfo, two new features named in-app dialler and Hidden Group are currently being tested in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.9.28.

It's unclear how WhatsApp intends to include an inbuilt dialler into its interface, but a standalone dialler in the app suggests that the messaging platform may eventually allow users to call unsaved contacts by just dialling a phone number.
This makes sense because WhatsApp had already announced previously that it is working on a feature that will allow users to quickly dial voice calls with unsaved contacts, which was previously not possible.
Further, by introducing a native dialler, WhatsApp could greatly enhance the user experience, as users would be able to save contacts or dial internet calls without any hassles. This simplifies communication, especially for organisations and individuals managing a large number of one-time interactions.
Meanwhile, the new Hidden Group feature aims to keep Community groups private. The WhatsApp beta version 2.24.9.27, already had this feature, but it is only available to limited users. A new option on top named Group visibility has been spotted by WABetaInfo, with a toggle to mark it as Hidden group or not.
Remaining admin controls that are currently available, such as community users who edit group settings, send messages, make changes in group settings, and more settings are also visible with this new beta update. It’s not known when the two features will roll out to all users as sometimes features in beta don’t see the light of the day.
