Synology Inc. has announced the launch of its new RackStation RS2212+ and RS2212RP+, the reliable 10-bay rack mount NAS servers designed with scalability for small and medium businesses. The RackStation RS2212+/RS2212RP+ is powered by a 2.13 GHz dual-core processor, aiming at high performance with read and write speeds at 200.73 MB/sec and 194.32 MB/sec respectively under RAID 5 configuration with Link Aggregation enabled. While running at this high performance, both NAS servers feature better energy consumption with 31 percent reduction over its predecessor (at 88 watts) when operating under load. Designed with expansion capability for SMB user, both models offer a total 22-bay storage solution that pair up with Synology expansion units RX1211(RP) and an upgradable system RAM from 1GB to 3GB to satisfy the demanding need of a growing business.
